The Officer sits in the passenger seat taking a deep breath before she gets out of the car.

This was Something that she never ever wanted to do!   Until now,

it was eating away at her like a deadly Disease!

She glances down towards an envelope. That was lying between the two front seats.

It makes her tremble every time she touches it.  A gentle voice comes from the driver

     “It makes me tremble to.”

She glances up into the detective eyes.

     “Thanks for coming.”

She replied as tears falls from her soft eyes. There was a moment of Silence while she gazed into his eyes.

The detective looks ahead breaking the silence he says.

“When he hand me the envelope I was told that. You will need me in more ways then I could imagine.”

He glances back at her. Opens the driver side door. Turns to step out. Under his breath He says. “It’s just a shame not in the way I would like

She glances over in shock. A slight smile Comes across her face. She grabs the envelope and steps out of the car.

With a blushing smile she Ask the detective.

“What did you say?”  She began to walk around to the front of the car glancing back at Him.

She stops walking when she reaches the front of the car. His eyes were fixated on one of the Second story window.

She glances up to the window. There were four figures watching them. She Bows her head as her body begins to tremble.

the detective glances away from the window His eyes turn to the officer he begins to watch in amazement.

Tears seem to be flowing upwards From the Outer top corners of her eyes.

He glances up to the window once again to see all three had vanished.

Suddenly He hears a voice of a little girl singing a melody.

“These are my tender little tears. My little tender tears of hope I give to you. That it may light up the path in your dark despair.”  an image appears in his head while listening to the melody. A little girl playing in the front garden singing away.

“My little tender tears of hope I give to you. That it may light up the path in your dark despair.” Chills running through his body He turns to the officer. She is leaning on the car for support.

Trembling like a leaf in the wind. to afraid to stand on her own.

The officer raises her head for a brief amazing moment only seen by the detective. She looks like the little girl in the garden.

he just stood there in disbelief watching her singing  In a little girl’s voice.

My little tender tears of hope will give peace to my mommy. My little tender tears of hope will make daddy.”

Suddenly a burst of wind took hold of the Envelope carrying it up to the heavens. Then there was great peaceful calm.

the police officer blurted out.

         “What just happen?”

Standing there baffle on what just expired. Suddenly she screams.

“The envelope!”   The detective reaches for her hand. With a soft caring voice he says.

“That is okay the spirit is with us.”

When the detective touch her hand.  she became calm with a deep inner peace that shine through her eyes.

A smile came across her face and they began to walk towards the door of the house.

They only had to knock once before the gentleman open the door.

His wife was standing behind him carrying there three year old son. The only child they have left now.

 The gentleman said.

       “Come in Officers”

The female officer walks in first she glances into the gentleman’s eyes for a brief moment before.

glancing down Refusing to look up mouthing the words

“daddy.”  Fear kept her from looking up towards his wife. Not knowing what she may say. Standing on verge of Hades

 trembling from the inside out.

His wife softly spoke clutching her son as she gazed upon the officer

“Thank you for coming I will never understand how hard it is.”  A moment of silence fills the Air. She glances over to the detective as she continues.  “We are just glad you accepted our Invitation.”  The officer barely  mumbles

      “Your welcome.”

Nodding her head up and down. her eyes remain focus on the ground Fighting what was happening within her.

The gentleman could see the female officer growing more uncomfortable with every passing  moment.

“Why don’t we go into the living room and make our self comfortable , We have some coffee Made.”  He led them into the living room.

The gentleman and his wife stood in front of the couch while the detective and the officer sat down in the living room chairs.

That were across the room from each other.  The detective began.

“This is something that officers usually never do. Even with a wonderful invitation as yourself.

No one really understands how hard it is for us.  When we come to an accident Like the one your baby girl was in.

There are cases when I require help. From a man that is in tune with the spirit world.

This man came to me last week. A burning warmth went through the detective. It was something he never felt before.

For one brief moment He had to catch his breath. An amazing look of astonishment Came upon him as fear crept up.

Glancing over to the officer. His mouth drop watching her. The officer was rocking back and forth.

Every cell in her body was trembling. Bowing her head hiding her eyes with tears flowing up into her hair.

The couple glances upon the officer. They seem clueless wondering what was happening.

Once again the detective began to speak.

“He gave me A seal envelope with the officer name on It. With a soft gentle touch he said

“She has to go see Kayla’s parents. That is why see keeps seeing Kayla in her dreams.

Mouthing the last words she tried to speak.

The man who gave me the envelope. Told me to tell the officer not to open the envelope. The one who sent him will.”  The detective began to sweat From his forehead as he once again glance at the officer.

Who continue to rock back and forth. The detective himself began to tremble. He glances over at Kayla’s mom.

Her eyes were full of faith and hope. Wondering what her little angel’s last words were.

The detective began to explain what happen to the envelope As his eyes turn to Kayla’s dad.

Memories of the words that were spoken by the one who talks to those that have gone Ahead Of us.

came to life in the detectives eyes.

Kayla’s father stands up!  Disbelief and anger burns in his eyes. Facing the detective he screams

“How could you do this to us? When we have buried our morning star three days ago.

She gave us so much joy with every breath she took!”

With tears in his eyes he continues yelling at the Detective.  “We had hoped you would bring some sort of peace to our shattered soul!  Instead you

bring this basket case with you! With a fable that is unbelievable!”

Kayla’s father took a step towards the detective his eyes full of rage as he screams the words.

 “Get Out! GET OUT!”

The screen window came flying out with a great gust of wind that remain blowing.

The screen window landing in between the two men. To the amazement of the detective’s eyes flew in the envelope.

landing right on top of the window screen. An unbelievable look came across Kayla’s  father.

He started to bend down when a lone piece of paper blew through the window.

Landing Right on top of the open envelope making him freeze in mid movement.

His wife covered her mouth as she gasp. The paper was a picture with words to daddy love Kayla.

A single tear from In his eyes fell on to the paper. Exactly on the A in daddy.

Suddenly the police officer stops rocking back and forth. She began to speak In a little Girl’s voice.

“Daddy I made you a new picture. It is better to have your tears on it then my blood on it.”

They all looked at the officer not believing in what they heard.

What they saw when the looked At the officer. Was so amazing they could not describe it.

The officer face looks exactly Like there little girl. The officer reaches in her pants pocket pulling out two golden earrings.

In the voice of the little girl she says.  “Grandma wanted me to give you these. Jesus and grandma are taken good care of me.”

The officer reaches her hand out dropping the earrings into Kayla’s mom’s hand.

When the earrings landed into her hand. She fell to her knees overcome with emotions.

The detective for reason unknown to him kneeled and bowed down towards the officer.

Trembling uncontrollable he looks up towards Kayla’s Parents. Disbelieving what was happening.

He watched both them bowing down trembling like he was.

His eyes caught the sparkling of the golden earrings. the glitter of the stones that was molded in the earrings.

For a brief second he wonders if the earrings were a mismatch. There was a stone missing in one of the earrings

The detective felt his eyes fill up with tears when he realize all the stones were a different color.

He wonders if the earrings were a mismatch.

That is when he realize the stones were glittering from the brilliant light that shine from behind him.

The detective was tempted to look behind him. To see where the brilliant light was coming from.

He felt to ashamed to even take a sneak peek.

Instead he looked towards the officer. Slowly the Detective notice a shadow that started before Him.

It went across the room spreading across the top of the wall.

The words of the man that sent them that the detective forgot.

came back to him when he saw the shadow.

“You will be kneeling down at the foot of the cross seeking forgiveness. While you watch

Kayla and her grandma playing beyond the cross with Jesus.”

While he was weeping at the foot of the cross mumbling the words.

 “ forgive me lord.”

He heard a soft loving male voice that brought tears to his eyes say.

         “I forgive you.”

He glances up to where the voice came from towards the officer. His eyes almost burst forth.

Jesus was sitting there with all his glory Instead of the officer.

He did not wonder what happen to her.  he was lost in his wounds.

The detective close his eyes Whispering

            “Thank you Jesus. Thank you.”

When he reopens them he closed them again and opens them. It was the officer that was sitting there.

The shadow of the cross had disappeared.

The brilliant light remained. The officer was leaning back with her eyes close.

The detective looked over towards Kayla’s parents. They were watching shadows dancing on the wall.

The wind faded away.

The brilliant light disappeared with shadows that were dancing along the wall.

Kayla’s parents embrace each other in a hug. The detective stood up lost in amazement of what just had happen.

Glances down at the officer who remained in a deep state of consciousness.

Kayla’s mom looks at the detective closed her eyes for moment.

Struggling to speak without falling apart she chokes up the words.

 “Thank you.”

Her husband squeezes her. Kissed her hair.

Glances over and close his eyes and nods. A tear escapes from his eyes.

The detective was overcome with compassion bringing him to his knees. His head hung down.

Not being able to move he whispers the man’s name that sent him saying.

“I could really use your help right now knowing. You are from the lord Jesus Christ.”

With surprise he stands up with ease. Knowing that he was release from the Crippling compassion that drove him to his knees.

He began to speak not knowing the words.

“Don’t thank me.  Thank the one that sent us.

” Her father raises his head up towards heaven.  Mouth the words that his wife whispers.

       “Thank you Kayla.  thank you.”

Suddenly a picture frame fell from behind the officer.  Landed right on the head of the officer.

Then rolled on it’s side to the feet of the detective. The officer screams in pain falling forward out of the chair.

Putting her hand on her head.  The officer Pulls a little stone out of her hair.

With a smile she hands the stone to Kayla’s mom. Then the officer finally began to talk

“Kayla says your welcome. She wanted to keep the stone for her month. But grandma said no you can’t.

Make sure you take them with you. When you go home because grandma wants them back.”

Kayla’s mom begins to giggle for the first time in days. The officer picks up the picture.

The father says to the officer,

“I think Kayla wants you to have the picture.”

The officer looks down reads the words coming through the blood stain.

  Thank you officer Jane
