Sitting in the dark.
Trying to find comfort in a cold bitter world.
Escaping any way she can.
From the hurting that never fades away.

Every night she prays
Dear Jesus.
Give me hope for the future!
Give me faith in you!
Give me strength for one more day!
Show me your love you have for me!

When all hope has faded,
When she needs a touch of the master hand,
When she needs to feel
His everlasting touch more then ever.
Right now her prayer needs to
Come through this dark stormy night.
A lost sheep
Lost amongst the pain.

With no place to turn
She gets on the computer.
Surfing the World Wide Web.
She finds a chat room.

She begins to chat with two strangers.
A presence of love flows from one
That she has been praying to feel.
Suddenly the walls that she has built
Comes crashing down.

The Holy Spirit wraps
His loving arms around her trembling spirit.
Through her tears she shares
The horrible things she has ever done.
All the heartache she has carried.

Tears flow from one of the stranger’s eyes
Wishing he could wipe away her tears.But he finds comfort knowing
The Holy Spirit is wiping away her tears.

No one is condemning her tonight.
That is something she doesn't need.
All she needs is
Those unanswered prayers to come true.

To feel the heavenly father's love.
To have someone who will believe in her.
To have some hope for the future.
To know someone loves her.

Two strangers cry out.
Praying father, let this angel know
She is not alone in her sorrow,
Let her know she is loved beyond belief.
By the saints.
By the Lord Jesus.
By the Heavenly Father.

When all hope is gone,
In the pits of despair
The Good Shepherd reaches down,
Grabs his little lost sheep.
Holds her gentle in his arms.

Just after the great rescue she proclaims
All you need is Jesus.
The Good Shepherd looks down.
With tears in his eyes he whispers:

'You are safe and sound in my arms.
I love you so much, my little one'.
